International Right of Way Association
Chapter 26

Memo from Wade Brown, Chapter President

As always, with the New Year comes the opportunity for change. Ginny Bolling at CenturyLink has hosted the Chapter 26 lunch meetings as the Central Florida Chapter Chairman for three (3) years now, and is looking to pass the baton to a new host. The March 22, 2011 meeting at the CenturyLink offices will likely be the last one coordinated by Ginny, though she will remain available to assist her successor. If you are interested in becoming the next Chairman, please contact me. If you are interested in changing the meeting times or locations, please let me know as well. We are always hoping to get your input on more and better ways to make this Chapter rewarding to you.

President's Message

As we near the end of another calendar year I would like to report on the Chapter and tell what all is planned for the future. As you all may be aware, we have revised our Chapter by-laws from a Fiscal Year based on a calendar year to matching International's Ficscal Year of July to July and incorporating installation of new officers just prior to that year end. The end of the year reception we have had in the past for installation of new officers will now be the Chapter's Holiday party.

Information will be forthcoming on this which is scheduled for December 8, 2011 in Orlando so save the date in your calendars. There is also a happy hour planned for Tampa and luncheon in Orlando between now and then so please visit our website for more information on these events.

We have one more mini-conference planned for February 2012 so stay tuned for more details. We are attempting to put together a mock trial of an eminent domain matter that will include audience participation so should be an educational and interesting time for attendees. Please remember the Board has planned these events for the benefit of membership but it takes feedback to help in planning for topics and speakers. So please let us know what interests are for the future!

Wade
